Movin' On Up!

If you've watched the news lately, you know that the housing market i down. This makes great news for poor working students who live in crappy apartments like me and Nathan who want to take advantage of the poor economy. Thats right, we are getting out of our apartment and into a house. Nate's parent's house. At least until we can find our dream-first home. We've made offers on houses, but by the time we made our offers, other offers were already in play.

We haven't had much input from anyone but Porter and London, so help us out and let us know which one we should get!

A)
Isn't this one a beauty? This was one of Nathan's favorite. Until we went inside. This house looked like a meth lab. The previous occupants obviously had to get out of this house fast, because they left their massive lime green bra behind. Gross.

B)
I was looking forward to seeing this house, because the pictures of the kitchen looked awesome. When we went to see it, the doors were unlocked, the A.C. was on and there was a half-full bottle of wine on the counter top, so needless to say we didn't see much of the house.

C)
This house is my favorite. Its an older house, so its got some winding rooms, and would be great for hide and seek! It also has a cloak room, and if you've ever seen Lady in White, you know why this is terrifying/awesome. If you look closely over the door, you can see a little cross, beneath which the previous owner had painted blood dripping down from it. Pretty!

D)

So let us know what you think!

P.S. This post is dedicated to Molly!

Are they all 3 bed 2 bath? I would go with which ever house has trees and a good floorplan. Keep me updated! (is one of the houses listed here the one that's in my ward?)

Ya there all 3/2, and I think one is in your ward.

I like "C" the best. Really it's because of the cloat room. Now we don't have to use the laundry room to put on our Halloween Shows!!

We choose A, I think you should take advantage of the free lime green bra and Matt thinks that because it was a meth lab, you already have a stream of income already set up in case you need some extra cash. Something to think about

i chose C. only because when i saw the cross for the first time, i felt an over whelming feeling of sweet sweet happiness and knew it was a keeper at that exact moment. maybe i will buy you some air freshner as a house warming gift tho, because acording to brody, it's a pretty house but a smelly house.

Third-party observations:

A: This house creeped me out so bad. I have nothing positive to say, only funny. When Porter was re-telling the story of the bra: "Dad, we saw an underwear that was big enough to fit my head in - two times!" Olen said I couldn't take the kids to see any more houses after that...

B: At least we knew the AC worked, right?

C: The previous owners were religious, so that's a plus.

D: It sounds like the neighborhood has some entrepreneurs. (But I don't think I actually saw this one with you, did I?)

Don't worry, D, we'll find your "dream-first home". We just need to be the first one's to get our offer accepted! ;)

I say go with the one that is the best price per square foot and in the best location. You can throw out (or use) old bras, and make it your own. But really - living with Mom and Dad - good luck. At least you will have someone trying to steal your laundry and ironing. That is always a bonus. Should motivate you to find that home quickly because we all like our own space.

Hope all goes well in the house hunt, but I don't feel bad about the part where you live at papa Parrish and mama Parrish house.

So how is life with the extended Parrish family! Dying for an update!
