Do You Remember Me?

While I am normally hugely anti-reminiscent, I'm following the new blogging trend and asking you all to do just that.

Leave a memory you have of either me, Darcy, or Nathan. I know we've all had some freaking good times, so you'll have plenty to write about.

When you're all done, make the same post so we can look back at all the good times we've had with you!

Yippee, D-lo, I get to be the first to remember you!

Remember that one time we made chimichangas and like 15 minutes after we were done eating them the stove was still on and the fire alarms started going off and you come downstairs to tell us the kitchen was on fire? Then Katie freaking freaked out and said a prayer in the middle of the smoke and we dumped baking soda everywhere and mom and dad got new kitchen cabnets because of us. Hey, I don't think they've ever said thank-you for that....

And besides the one account in Flagstaff that you've already mentioned (lol), I remember another visit you made with Christopher when Porter was just a brand new baby and we stayed up super late just talking and it came to me in a thought "wow, Darcy's all grown up now." It was like a light bulb in my head going off. You were there, but never knew I had that memory. How's that for reminiscent!

Some of the best memories I have of little Darc are in the car on the way home from work.

We would make up commercials for Jiffy Lube and they were totally awesome, we even casted them.
We would laugh so hard I think that one time I even pulled over so I wouldn't crash. We were drunk on life! haha that's for you Darc!

We use to have silly cooking shows while making dinner and we talked in our best "New York" accents.

Remember our Broadway plays, Darcy?

Once we were driving in an construction zone and she was eating a popsicle and she decided that she didn't want it so she opened my door (while I was driving) and she almost hit an construction barrier, we both started to freak our and it was hard to drive.

I thought of another one. When you were like 11 or 12 and you have the BIGGEST crush on Leonardo Dicaprio. You lined our closest door with posters of him. I always felt a little violated when I went in there to change my close. And when Titanic came out you made a tape of the Titanic song from the radio on a cassette tape and played it over and over on the way to the theater.

I am not ashamed of my love.

Me and Leo are pretty good friends... we share the same birthday you know..
My memory is when Chris and I were engaged Chris told me you had a surprise for me, so when I got off work and came to your house you were all dressed up in some sort of costume cause you wanted to show me you could be pretty and not always dressed in comfy clothes. It was funny! And I remember when you first moved in with us you would spend forever getting your make up and hair done and then decide not to go out.

Darcy has always been a true original. One time when she was four years she sat outside on the small wall in our front yard. She was there for quite awhile and I begin to wonder what she was doing. When I asked her what she was doing she said "I am waiting for a best friend".

Another time, Darcy had the family home evening lesson and she put together a lesson about Lehi and his family. But of course it had her special flare and we all played her version of "Pin the head on Lehi".
